Our board of directors is based through our fiscal sponsorship, the Friends of Evans Parks and Recreation Foundation.   Their Mission is:

"To promote the advancement of recreation programs, scholarships and facilities and to foster public arts, park enhancements and community forestry"

We now have our Advisory Board in place.  They include;

  

Andrew McRoberts, CPRP  

Evans, Colorado - Playful City USA!

Mr. McRoberts has most recently been with the City Evans as the parks and recreation director.  He held this position from 1994 to March 2010.  Prior to that time, he was the Aquatics Director with South Suburban Parks and Recreation in Centennial, Colorado.  Since being with Evans, he has overseen the growth of the department from a staff of 5 to its current level of 19, led the City to a National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Management in Parks and Recreation, and managed the development of numerous other award winning programs at the state, national, and international level.  He has overseen the development of five neighborhood parks, one community park, an off-leash dog park and has raised over $800,000 in park and trail development grant funds for the community.  He is a past-resident of the Colorado Parks and Recreation Association and is currently active on the board of directors for the ARC of Weld County

  

Jonathan Mosier, President

Landmark Solutions Inc. - Construction Management

Windsor, Colorado

Mr. Mosier has a lifetime of experience within the construction industry. His practical experience and passion for building allows him to guide an entire construction team to produce functional cost efficient projects. As President of Landmark Solutions Inc., he brings a wealth of knowledge of construction costs, scheduling and implementation.  His experience also includes the construction management for the field development for The Colorado Rockies Youth Field Program, Los Angeles Dodger Dream Field Program and Little League Urban Initiative Field Projects.  With this experience Mr. Mosier realized the value that Sports Genesis will provide to our communities and asked to be on our Advisory Board.

  

John R. Holmen, Retired

Loveland, Colorado

Mr. Holmen most recently served as senior development officer for Michigan Technological University and before that was Associate Vice President for Advancement at Jamestown College in Jamestown, ND.  He retired from his position at Michigan Tech on March 1, 2010.  Mr. Holmen was actively engaged in fundraising for these two universities and played a vital role in their capital campaigns.  Previous to being a fundraiser, Mr. Holmen was a high school English teacher for 32 years.  He was also actively involved in officiating sporting events and was elected to the North Dakota Officials' Hall of Fame in 2008.  Mr. Holmen witnessed first-hand the value of athletic facilities to local communities and most especially to the youngsters in those communities.  He recognizes and appreciates how Sports Genesis will positively impact communities in Colorado and elsewhere.
